I want to get a good quality laptop, but I was wondering if anyone knows of any reeeeeeealllly good deals out there. It doesn’t have to be anything way fancy, just basically for pleasure use not work or anything. I don’t want a Mac though and I would like it to be good quality, but not top of the line. The simple answer is no, there isn’t. Because of the power requirements for so much of your laptop equipment, it’s REALLY hard to swap parts of it out. That said, you can often buy external additions to your laptop, like external drives, and sometimes(very occasionally), you can upgrade the processor, or memory, but when your laptop has passed it’s usefulness, there is very little that you can do to upgrade it.

What ive done in the past is find a picture online then just click set as desktop or background picture. When I change it to another I can’t find the previous ones. Are any of the ones ive set before on my computer somewhere.

do a wildcard search in spotlight

i.e. *.jpg

then adjust the search result to display as thumbnails.

The pc that is supposed to use the printer wireless won’t connect to my printer. When it searches for printers in a network it comes up with the pc name of the computer that is plugged into the printer. Isn’t it supposed to come up with the name of the printer?

Try installing drivers on both computers.

I got the films already ripped to my hard drive.I dont want the whole film kept,just certain parts.Anyone know what i need to do,to extract the parts,then store them on my pc.? Tools etc. Thanx.

I have recently started using linux, try it its gr8. Takes a bit of getting used to. I just wondered if you can use anything like ares to download music and such, cheers.

Look for FrostWire. I’m not familiar with Ares but FrostWire allows you to connect to a couple sharing networks.

btw, i dont care much about harddrive, space. 40+ gbs is good, i dont use to much.. and whys this so cheap? there must be something to it

It’s a celeron, it’s a light duty chip,not good for gaming. There is no video card, also not good for gaming. This one has a better CPU, but still no video card. Adecent card will run you about 100.00

I have an e-Machines T6532, these are very cheap computers made by Gateway for the retail market. It is sitting on the floor, unused.

If you look hard, you can build your own entry level gaming rig for about 615.00, but this bare minimum in my opinion. The first link has an 800.00 gaming rig on it suitable for a first time builder.

Hope that this will help. If you use the OS out of the fried computer, you could do it for about 525.00. These are the parts I was looking at, one note, the PSUs that come with a case are not usually good quality.

I am NOT saying go buy these parts, I would have to spend a little more time making sure they are 100% compatible. This is just an example. This does have a video card with it, and I dont think I missed anything.

I’m thinking about enrolling at Insight, but first I want to know what kind of laptops they are. Can anyone help me?

My cousin is enrolled in "Advanced Academics" & I believe they sent her a Dell Latitude (E5400).

I have this problem that my doctor could not diagnose. Every time I poop, the first time would be alright. After 5 minutes or so I feel the sensation to go to the toilet again but nothing comes out. I feel there is something that needs to come out like a fart but sometimes small lumps only will come out and difficulty in urination. The sensation will continue unless from experience my stomach is full.

what kind of tests have your doctors done on you?

this sounds like some sort of obstruction in your colon. They should be able to do this with a scan using a dye contrast and a camera that can see the dye go through your digestive system.

What type of diet are you eating? Try to increase your fluids and fiber (wheat, granola bars, and vegetables.) This will be very helpful in clearing out your digestive system.
