Where can I get a really cheap laptop?

So, I really want to be able to buy things online, but my parents won’t let me because our computer doesn’t have any security and they don’t want to be entering their credit card. Also, we can’t download any since our computer is stupid. Anyway, I guess I’m just looking for the cheapest laptop/ computer that I can do that on. It doesn’t need to be anything special, just cheap.

I want my own laptop but dont have a lot of money at my disposal. I am looking for a cheap laptop around maybe 300 dollars and below with an HD graphics card as number one. The ideal one would be a laptop with an HD graphics card and lots of memory

you may have to shop for a refurbished one as new ones are a bit more…

Looking for a cheap laptop that has a 1GB graphics card and can be found at best buy or future shop. I am not to familiar with laptop technology so some suggestions and help would be appreciated. Price range is 499-699.

Good luck with that. Most 1g vid cards cost upwards of $350 to $600 alone, not including the rest of the laptop.

I should say most decent 1g cards, you can get cheaper 1g cards, but they just don’t have the performance needed.

I’m about to head off to college, and am looking for a good, cheap laptop. Which brands or types do you like the best and think would last the longest? I hope to get one that will last me through college and hopefully beyond.

What good laptop would you recommend? Any tips and suggestions are appreciated.

I’ve only had this Acer Aspire TimelineX AS4830T-6642 laptop for a week, but here are my first impressions so far:
2nd Gen Intel iCore5: This gen of intel has the new `Sandy Bridge’ as part of the processor. I don’t know how to explain it, but my cousin is a computer tech and in layman’s terms says it makes the processor more efficient which allows for the next feature to do what it does….

Incredible battery life: Most of you will have read that in the description it claims that the battery can last 8-9hrs. And….. its true! I thought it was too good to be true, but charge the battery up to 100% and you won’t have to worry about the battery. (Although, I am sure battery life varies, depending on how much you are trying to do. I plan to test this out to further extent a little later.) For example, I sat down and caught up on 4, 45-min long TV episodes…the battery notification area said it still had enough to do it all over again, stating that it had enough to last a little over 4 hours. Amazing!

Is there any cheap laptop that can run WoW at medium-high settings?

Wow wtf is wrong with you people? "yes."? "some shit is the best race"? -.- he wants a laptop sheesh… I would look in HP or Toshiba, their laptops are coming with some advanced graphics cards that can support high graphic games probably nothing like crysis 2 or CoD but they can do pretty good. just try those 2 companies. I would not look in DELL they suck now… their computers are having a bunch of problems.

I want to buy a cheap laptop with the sole purpose of running Hackintosh. (I live in Canada if that matters) I can spend 200-500 but preferably around $350. I don’t know if I would want more memory or a quad core or what for my purpose and I don’t know much about which brand to buy. Thanks

Acer AS5253-BZ602 is a Great laptop, battery life is about 5 hours for normal use. Easy to type on and the number pad is a big plus. The AMD E350 apu is still good for some gaming I can play left 4 dead 2 and fallout new vegas with no lag. Defiantly not a high end laptop but for only 400 its a great deal, however I do recommend getting another 2gig stick of ram as it runs a lot better on 4gig.

I like to play a game called Wonderland Online on my computer, but i have recently been looking into getting a laptop and playing it on there. But i found out it needs about 1 or 2GB of ram just to run the game. Anyone know of a decent, cheap laptop that has enough Ram for that?
