I want to build laptops then sell them.So i don’t want used parts or barebone laptops. Thanks

I don’t know much about computers, but I am very good at taking them apart as I am a electrician at a hospital. I was just given 7 laptops that work, but the screens were destroyed so I was wanting to part out the hardware. What parts are USUALLY worth the most? I’m thinking about keeping the hard drives for projects, but put them in the list as well.

well most people tend not to buy laptop parts because of the specific specifications their laptops can handle. If the laptops are "recent" i would advise you to get the screens fixed and sell them whole, you might make more cash that way.

Buyer paid $85 now wants money back and is threatening a paypal claim. This item was missing many parts and I listed it as such.
In addition to the sold for parts/repair on listing on the title I put no returns accepted in description. Also in the his email he implies that he has opened up laptop ! Does he have a case ?

No he does not. I would contact E-Bay and PayPal first, before he does. I would think that having the ad and his complaint to you documented that he has no basis for his claim. Taking the initiative and cutting him off so to speak would be how I would proceed.
Oh, and of course leave him negative feedback…

Actually, my laptop drowned in beer. It was turned on at the time and was completely covered for several hours. It’s dry now and I’m wondering which of the more important parts should still function.

NONE! i spilled bong water on mine and it fried te whole thing!

My laptop broke so I want to sell the parts that still work. How can I remove all the memory from the hard drive so I can sell it? The laptop won’t turn of so I can’t reinstall the os.

What else can I sell from the laptop?

I was thinking these but what else…
Internet card thing, and keys (haha yea) and the fan (for other uses too), and the battery

you might get lucky on craigslist selling it as is for parts. don’t try to remove the parts since you obviously have no clue what you are doing. $40-60 if they’re recent parts. sorry but there’s not much of a market, everything keeps changing because something is always better than what you have, and used parts can’t be trusted. plus laptop parts require delicate handling and removing, billion of small parts so remember, don’t bother trying to pull anything, sell it as is, and don’t try to say it’s a working laptop, you’ll just piss people off or worse.
