Is this a great laptop deal? Any other deals that are better?

Wouldn’t those be good enough for gaming? with the addition of adding a high end graphics card and sound card?
I really need the laptop for school AND music producing!

This one does have enough system memory for what you want to do and the hard drive is also small for what you want to do. And it has a very basic graphic card, thats not for gaming.

This one is slightly better, but again it has a small hard drive. And it has a very basic graphic card, thats not for gaming.
These would be better sutied for what you want to do.

The first one has too small a screen for gaming.
The second one needs more memory.
Tossup.

They’re both absolutely TERRIBLE for gaming due to the fact that they have a crappy Intel video card (not upgradable at all).
Also, they have relatively low-end Pentium Dual Core processors, which again isn’t very good for gaming.
You’re going to want something with an ATI or nVidia video card and at least a Core 2 Duo processor.

Both of these have graphics drivers that are "integrated". Which is to say, that they rob system resources from the ram when you do something graphics-intensive like game or do video editing.
I would go with the second one, and buy a RAM upgrade along with it.
