Well, the ads are not for current Mac users, because they are already convinced, but it is for Windows users to make them understand that there is something else, maybe even better than Windows. Users are not likely to switch if they have the feeling that their current OS is good enough as well, so Apple has to make them feel that they are using a inferior OS, so that they will try Mac OS X out, and Apple will be able to gain a greater market share.

AND ALSO, Google, among other new upcoming companies relating to IS/IT are using Apple products more and more.

I’m not saying it’s great, but it’s pretty decent.

You should also look up famous people who have used Apple products, Adam Savage of Mythbusters is a good one. =]

Love Windows 7 the most though, at least try Mac OSX.

Why would I want to convert?

Well, I want to go to school for music production and engineering, and the school is going to force me into “the family.” Same thing with any art school. They’ll make you use a Mac as well.

I’m doomed.

Apple ‘just works’ due to the hardware, software and drivers especially are made for each other, awhile Acer, Dell, and HP aren’t a unified company.

I don’t believe in the motto of ‘it just works’ I’m currently struggling as a student programmer to adapt, but nonetheless it’s very interesting. Win7 <3

Well, if it “just works,” why does Apple continue to bash Microsoft in every advertisement? Is it because, if they didn’t, their fanbase would feel insecure because they’re such a small minority?

Please, fill me in. Somebody, anybody, give me a good reason to not hate Apple and it’s elitist enthusiasts.
