You can find the service manual, below, which will help when you try and reassemble your laptop. It will also detail how to properly remove your CPU, drives, screen panels, etc..

As far as storage, you can safely keep the CPU in an anti-static bag...be careful not to bend any pins!

Good luck!
References :
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01311536.pdf

Removing and assembling laptop parts are not in the realm of the average geek. The most you can probably use is the hard drive and any installed mini pci cards.

An maybe salvage some other parts for use in an identical model computer.
References :
http://www.great-laptop-deals.com

laptops are not the same as desktops, you should not take then apart unless you are trained to do so.

most laptop processors are soldered directly to the motherboard so it would be pointless to even try to get to it

i've only taken apart one laptop (an old piece of junk one) just for fun the one time, they are not easy to put back together.
References :
Why would you want to do that? Laptops are a pain when you assemble them yourself, goodluck. Best to have manufacturers do it.
