How much can i get for my Laptop parts?

September 302009

I have a DV9000 Hp laptop, i think i can sell it on parts, Display, keyboard, Battery, charger, DVD burner, etc…motherboard is not working…i want to get some bucks instead of just trash it..tnx!

you won’t get much if any at all because laptops are not like desktops where parts are easily exchangable. Each laptop’s design is different and that makes it difficult to upgrade or modify.

So unless you can find someone that has exactely or very close to your laptop, it will be hard to sell off the parts for any sort of significant returns.

If I were you, I would try to see how much it cost to fix the motherboard (or if you can fix it yourself), and see how much you can sell the entire laptop for after you fix it. It will probably be an easier sale. You just have to figure out if its worth it.

Or you can sell the dead laptop to this company:

They will take care of the work of selling off any good parts.
