    those students have …
    those students have to live the rest of their lives not knowing if their nude photos/webcam films have been sold to illegal pornographers overseas- or who knows what – and there is nothing they can do about it – those that issued the laptops should be tried as the child pornographers that they are-this will affect those poor kids for the rest of their lives- = Total human rights violation.

    This is grotesque …
    This is grotesque and obscene. Organized pedophelia at its institutional level. Webcams are inappropriate features on student pcs. Not to mention not a valid manner to find a lost or stolen one. Not to mention complete and total violation of rights to privacy, among other things. I hope the FBI and that lawyer throw the book at them and the students give the laptops back and say thanks, but no thanks.

    Good grief. In what …
    Good grief. In what way do you find anything that I wrote excluded from a constitutional republic system of government? How did you ever come to the conclusion that it is my belief the we do not have a representative form of government?

    We are still responsible for the actions of those that we elect to represent us and those that they hire on our behalf, starting at the local level and going up.

    Here is a big news flash, we do have the power and we can get rid of those who do not perform well.

    @SSanf It seems to …
    @SSanf It seems to me you believe we live in a democracy. The US was never a democracy. It was originally a constitutional republic. However, it would now be more appropriately called a corporate oligarchy. The people no longer have much of a voice. We just foot the bill for the corporate government fat cats, who are becoming insanely rich off of inside deals at our expense. But, if you are on board with bringing the power back to the people, I’m all for it.

    The principal is …
    The principal is clearly lying. Typical. I’m smelling a pedophile. Or a fascist. or a totalitarian asshole. the school. Sue the out of these creepy pedophiles.
    And disobey authority. Authority is America’s number one mental health issue.

  17. SSanf Says:

    You are clearly …
    You are clearly ignorant of how the US system of government works. Tax payers are all responsible to oversee and be aware of what is happening on a local level. That is our joint responsibility. I do my best to be aware of what is happening locally and to correct problems as they occur here. When something happens outside our local level, we let our outrage be known and bring pressure to bear for its correction so that it will not continue happening. Supporting the ACLU is a good place to start.

  18. imrubberandyoureglue Says:

    My first question …
    My first question to you then is what specific steps did you as a responsible party take to prevent this specific situation from occurring? Secondly, why did you let such a situation develop to this extent as it is your duty to police the behavior of those you employ? Thirdly, how do you plan to compensate those affected by the behavior of said employees who fall under your leadership as a tax payer?

  19. SSanf Says:

    If you are not …
    If you are not willing to accept your responsibilities, you do not deserve the benefits of living in a civilized society.

  20. SSanf Says:

    Yes, we are all …
    Yes, we are all responsible for allowing such a situation to develop. We are responsible to see that it is corrected and that the perpetrators are caught and punished. We are responsible to ensure that people know such behavior is not only illegal but that it will not be tolerated. And, we are responsible to compensate any who have been damaged.

  21. imrubberandyoureglue Says:

    So you’re …
    So you’re responsible for the school employees using web cams to spy on students?

    Sounds like something you would do.

  22. SSanf Says:

    People get the …
    People get the government that they deserve.

  23. SSanf Says:

    It is the tax …
    It is the tax payers who are ultimately responsible for the behavior of their employees. The buck stops with the tax payers just the same as the buck stops with any employer who has a right to expect good behavior from those he hires. If he hires the wrong people, he and his company are responsible when things go wrong.

    The burden of responsibility for good government and good management of government lies with the citizenry that is governed.

  24. 00RoninSamurai00 Says:

    @SSanf Taxes are …
    @SSanf Taxes are not optional, and the taxpayers have little control how that money is spent, so they should not be held accountable for the criminal activities of govt officials using those funds illegally. In reality, the school system is not representative of the taxpayers, but instead is representative of corrupt govt officials who call all the shots. So, they should be held accountable, not the taxpayers…

  25. 00RoninSamurai00 Says:

    @SSanf I strongly …
    @SSanf I strongly disagree. The taxpayers should not be penalized for illegal activities using State funds. When people pay taxes, it is expected that those taxes will be used for lawful purposes. And, any govt official who uses that money for unlawful (i.e. criminal) purposes should be personally held accountable. The biggest problem with government today is the lack of accountability of government officials. Taxpayers should not be punished for the criminal activities of govt employees.
