		<description>You may not believe it could be this simple, but make sure you are not using an unshielded speaker cable somewhere in your signal route. They have to all be shielded instrument cables. 		<description>Sounds like a ground problem. Usually the electricity or field of electricity from holding the guitar causes this if a ground problem is noticed. I wouldn&#039;t paint the pickups themselves. What I would try first is to be sure you don&#039;t have a faulty am cord leading from your guitar to your amp. I say this because you mentioned that your guitar never use to do this. I wouldn&#039;t try anything that couldn&#039;t be reversed first.
