The HP Pavilion DV71023cl Mesh Imprint features a grid-like pattern for subtle contrast to the liquid appearance of the metallic finish. The streamlined look is enhanced with a color-matched keyboard and touch pad. And touch media controls light up and become visible only when the system is powered on further enhancing the clean appearance. HP’s mobile products have won coveted International Red Dot, iF and CES Innovation design awards and been recognized by other leading design institutions.

http://www.elephantsdream.org/

I CAN’T REPLY TO YOU BECAUSE MY REPLIES NO LONGER SHOW UP WHEN I MAKE THEM ON THIS VIDEO. SOMETHING IN YOUTUBE IS BROKEN.

This video, called “My PC Is On Fire”, was inspried by Brookers hilarious “Crazed Numa Fan” video. It’s a parody of “Ma Ya Hi”, the English version of “Numa Ye” that pays tribute to the Dell laptop that burst into flames in Japan. It uses animation footage from the Elephants Dream creative commons movie project.

Thank you Brookers for making me laugh so hard I couldn’t breathe and major congratulations on your recent success.

LYRICS:

Hello, it’s true
Your Dell, won’t boot
And I made, something that runs
To show you, that you’re screwed

Hello, hello
My PC, it won’t load
I will not pay, your lousy bill
And I throw it at the wall

When you leave my screen it fades to grey
Turned it on today, now my data’s gone away
When you make my PC load and play
Then your lousy bill I’ll pay

My PC, My PC, My PC, is on fire!
My PC, My PC, My PC, is on fire!

I know, it seems
My bill’s extreme
And I bought
Something to fix the colors, on your screen

Hello, hello
My PC, it won’t load
I will not pay, your lousy bill
And I throw it at the wall

When you leave my screen it fades to grey
Turned it on today, now my data’s gone away
When you make my PC load and play
Then your lousy bill I’ll pay

My PC, My PC, My PC, is on fire!
My PC, My PC, My PC, is on fire!

— THE END —

Look for my upcoming Pleo Numa Ye video to be announced here:

Overview
In lesson 1 we’ll go over all of the components of the computer and the tools needed to assemble them. Make sure you watch all of the build a computer video lessons before attempting to assemble your computer.

Lets go over the components well be installing.

First we have the hard drives. Well be installing 2 SATA hard drives, each with connections for data and power cables.

    * A SATA DVD recordable drive with connections for data and power cables
* 2, PCI Express 2.0 16x video cards, a PCI wireless network card and a PCI Express 1x sound card
* 3, 1GB DDR3 Ram sticks
* Processor with heat sink and fan
* The motherboard
* The computers case
* The power supply
* An extra case cooling fan
* Serial ATA data cables for the 2 hard drives and DVD recordable drive
* A power strip with surge protection.

The tools well need

    * A Phillips or plus screw driver
* A flat head or minus screw driver
* A power screw driver is optional
* Needle nose pliers for getting into tight spaces or to retrieve dropped screws
* And a parts container to hold the small screws while youre working and to store extras

Using a Power Screw Driver

When using a power screw driver be careful not to over tighten the screws. Its easy to strip the threads which can ruin the part. If you do strip the threads try using another screw with bigger threads in the hole.

To reduce the likelihood of this happening, hold the power driver very loosely, so when the screw is tight, the driver will slip in your hand. Under no circumstances use a power drill with a screw driver adapter.

Types of Screws

Inside the case youll find a bag of screws. You can use the parts container to separate the different sizes and types of screws to make finding them later a little easier.

There are two basic types of screws: screws with little threads and screws with big threads. The screws with little threads are used on DVD and Blu-ray drives. The screws with big threads are used on the motherboard, hard drives and add-on cards. There are exceptions, but the general rule is if a screw doesnt fit in a hole, try the other kind of screw.

Front Panel Connections

There are several cables coming from the front panel that control the power and reset buttons and also light up the hard drive activity light. Some cases also come with cables for a sleep button, power light and case speaker. There are USB, Firewire and Audio cables coming from the front panel as well. We will connect these cables to the motherboard in lesson 3.

In lesson 2 well install the memory stick and processor onto the motherboard.
