Thanks! I downloaded the PC demo, it was a lot of fun but I guess I’ll be picking this up for the Xbox 360. My laptop kinda struggled a bit on medium-high settings, if I put it to low-medium settings it will look like the Xbox 360 version anyway. Thanks again though, good review!

Well, you go to the Monastary to become a warrior or a mage. All warriors and mages must learn to use the staff, as well as create scrolls. You need to be very careful about your choices, and always indicate that you want to take the path of the mage. If you went to Harbor Town before the Monastary, this is very easy as long as you worked with Master Belschur first.

The achievements only show on your gamercard if you play the 360 version. I think your laptop would run this on medium settings.

Found out something …
Found out something else very annoying. hellishly annoying. Though I purposely wanted to be a MAGE and be able to use rune magic I ended up becoming a warrior for some dumb reason. I did everything I thought I was supposed to to become a mage and be able to use Runes/seals but no, now I Can’t use runes. Worse is I found out that being a mage and being a warrior are no different. Will I get enough remove magic barrier scrolls throughout the game to remove all barriers?

First unacceptable …
First unacceptable bug completely unacceptable, infuriating. Climbed up on a wall in the Eastern temple after defeating a lizardman priest, got completely stuck on the wall, so stuck I couldn’t move or even access my menu or the start menu or anything, had to turn off the console.
Germans like game bugs in their games. I guess. That and scat porn.

No, this game would not look good, nor even run properly on a computer 4 years old. You were wise to buy it for the 360.

I agree, it took me some time to come to this conclusion, the combat system is clunky but if you can get around that and get used to the combat (real time combat beats turn based any day no matter how bad the combat system is in real time) you are in for one of a gritty, reward for exploration driven adventure.

Can anyone tell me. How would this run on a 3.14 gig pentium 2 gigs ram 512 radeonx10 crossfire computer? Could I crank the graphics enough or would I be hindered? My system is 4 years old so I bought this game for the 360 instead. Now im kicking myself. Even on the 360 the graphics are really sweet, I can imagine on a computer they look incredible. For me great graphics in a role playing game help with the immersion process a great deal.

I am very pleased with this game despite it’s shortcomings. It reminds me of what could have been Arx Fatalis 2.
I wish I bought this for the PC, although I was worried that it wouldn’t run well on my computer which was high end for it’s time but is almost 4 years old.
