I don’t know why, …
I don’t know why, but whenever I play this game, even on hard (which isn’t too hard, but enemies do plenty of DPS) and I get the Quad, I pull out the axe and go on a berserker rampage, no matter the difficulty, health amount, ammo amount, nor the enemies I’m fighting. It’s just time to kill. And usually die.
NEVER axe a shambler, unless you are a dodging god…

hmm, best i can …
hmm, best i can think to try is, setup all yer settings/config, then open console (~ key) and type:
cfg_save ANYFILENAME
then every time you load,
cfg_load FILENAMEYOUUSEDBEFORE

L4D wasnt suppose to really focus on the story line, the game was suppose to imitate the survival of a group of people in a zombie movie, hence the movie posters and the cliches or the game.
