Actually you do lose health at that part no matter the difficulty. It just that on easy and medium, the damage isn’t really noticeable unless you really and I mean really look at your health bar.

I noticed that when …
I noticed that when you’re chased during your first encounter your health bar isn’t affected when you get hit which means you could just stand there getting hit and you wouldn’t die, but I’ve never done it because that would ruin the mood, but higher difficulties you do lose health at that part.
